The Discovery Years is a warm, comfortable setting for children to grow and develop at their own pace. We offer a prepared environment where active exploration and child-initiated, teacher guided learning is fostered. We believe that children develop at their own pace and that they learn best by experiencing.

Both of my girls attended Discovery Years from toddler to kindergarten. They absolutely loved attending at every age level. Ms Nahzie is a fantastic director and the kids absolutely adore her. My older daughter now in first grade still asks to visit her old school to see Ms Nahzie and the rest of the staff. Nahzie is also very accommodating when it comes to unusual schedules or special requests. She very much cares about the parents as well as her students. The staff does a fantastic job and they really care about the kids and their development. I feel my girls got and are getting a head start with schooling by attending.

My Son (3  1/2 years) has been in this daycare for little more than a year and loves it here. The teachers and the staff are really wonderful. They make you feel like family. I enjoy speaking to the teachers and they give updates about my son regularly.  Ms Nahzi is a fantastic person and is very knowledgeable about childcare. I have personally seen my son change/ grow a lot in this past year. He is getting more social, is learning a lot and is having fun at school. The huge play yard with the sandpit and the play structures / cycling area are a plus.  I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a good preschool in the Almaden area.

Teachers and staff is very experienced and kids love playing here.  My son loves coming here even though it was only 2-3 months.  Has more of a home daycare feel than a school environment. Things they could improve on: The center is a bit old and needs some upgrading. Can improve communication better like other centers where they have a timetable of when they changed the kids, how much they ate, what they learned that day... My son got norovirus from one of the other kids.  They told me that AFTER I told them my son got it and that's why I didn't bring him to school the previous week.  They even told me teachers got it.  Nothing was written on the board to inform other parents.
